We are excited to be sharing our new building at 975 Broadway in South Portland with Maine Natural Family Medicine. Sangita Pedro is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in holistic primary care, therapeutic yoga, homeopathy, and aromatherapy for the whole family. Her space has a separate entrance from MCA and complete privacy from our practice–and she’s already up and running! We are pleased to have 975 Broadways as a destination for integrated health and wellness and hope that you check out all the services they offer! You can explore Sangita’s thriving practice on Facebook.
We are working on the final touches of our new space at 975 Broadway in South Portland and will be open there starting on November 1! We’ve added a new heating system that will keep us cozy in fall and winter and cool (with AC!) in summer. We are now priming and painting and will be moving in equipment later in the month. I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our patients and community members who answered our call for help and have put in a ton of hours in our new space to help get ready for November’s opening day. I’d also like to express gratitude for the ongoing positive feedback about our new location, it’s great to hear you’re up for the change and are letting your friends and family know too.
Please note that MCA will be closed from October 21 – 28, so I recommend booking now for sessions, as spaces are starting to fill up. All October treatments will take place in Portland, and starting on November 1, all sessions will take place at 975 Broadway in South Portland.
This is a great time of year to get in for an appointment–especially if it’s been a while since we’ve seen you. The change in seasons can bring on a host of symptoms, from stuffy noses to a drop in energy. We’re here to help you move through it!
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from last week’s announcement that MCA is moving to South Portland next month. Thank you for being open to change—we’re on this new journey together!
The new space is really coming along and I’m happy to share some “before & during” photos… I can’t wait to share the “after” photos once we’re closer to opening. The building used to house small offices, and we’ve taken down walls, removed a chimney that was in the middle of our new treatment room, and are re-constructing the layout to meet the needs of MCA. It’s going to be spectacular! We are so grateful to Mike Reardon of Bath who is doing an awesome job with carpentry and renovation.
With the renovation underway, there is one more thing that will help us get to total independence and that’s subleasing our current space in Portland. Do you know of anyone who might like to make 222 St. John Street the new home for their business? Check out our blog post about the sublease, see our ad on Craigslist, or download a PDF of our flyer to share. We’re hoping the MCA community will have some leads for us!
Thanks to all of you who answered the call for help with painting and gardening and other projects, we’ve got a team assembled and I’ll be in touch soon! We are currently looking for some help with drywall before we complete the renovation (are you good at mudding and taping?) as well as someone to hire for winter snow removal. Give me a shout if you’re able to help with either.
Again, thank you for the positive response to our move announcement. We can’t wait to share this new space with you, and look forward to treatments together in Portland this month. Stay tuned by e-mail and on Facebook for updates.
